During the Covid-19 pandemic we were forced to only experience each other from a distance, because the risk of getting too close frightened us. We forced to rely on technology for communication that often glitches and malfunctions, disrupting our sense of connection. When machines fail us, the way we perceive ourselves becomes distorted.
‘Social-Distortion’ acts as an online virtual experience that is inspired by this sense of disconnection. This sound based environment is filled with several fantastical lifeforms. However getting too close will cause them to glitch and distort, leaving a permanent scar on their world until all connection is lost.
