Reflecting on the use of characters and fragmented narratives pushed Glerum to reflect on his own sense of escapism and how his background in animation is tied to that. With this work he reacts to the ‘god complex’ that comes with creating the illusion of a living entity through motion by turning the tool of simulation into the home for a simulated ant-colony.

Through the several screens embedded into the recognniseable skeleton of the computer, a colony of simulated ants can be seen, working within the borders of their generated terrarium while circulling something that seems to be a character. Only on several occassions can the full body of the character be seen.
